Health in EA
When planning a new residential area, widening an existing road or building a new one, or permitting new industrial activity, it is important to consider the health implications. Environmental assessment provides support for this. An environmental assessment report provides the general public and administrators with information about a plan’s positive and negative consequences for the environment, public health and nature, and gives possible alternatives.
It discusses various environmental aspects, such as air, noise, water and soil. These aspects may impact individually or collectively on people’s health. Adverse effects may appear, even at levels below legal norms.
In the environmental assessment report the information can be compiled in a clear way and health impacts can be presented insightfully.
